Our school brings to the Community of Schools on the Park, specialist expertise in environmental education.

Our aim is to enable environmental citizens including: students, staff, parents and the broader community. The concept of being an "earth citizen" is encouraged.

Located in the Royal National Park, we are often a first stop for students and teachers researching and planning investigations, field work and bushwalks. We have local knowledge and broad experience. We have been providing syllabus linked field work and sustainability education for 30 years. Our school has developed positive and effective relationships with the local schools over this time.

Assistance for schools to build and strengthen a culture of sustainability is provided through: student leadership programs, workshops, networks, resource development, mentoring environmental contact teachers and bushwalking within areas of Royal and Heathcote National Parks.

We value add to students’ learning in and for the environment throughout their schooling in a variety of contexts.

Environmental Education Centres are unique assets to the Public Education sector in NSW. Within the Community of Schools on the Park, we will support the School Environmental Management Plan (SEMP) development and implementation including training, modelling of sustainability and provision of advice.

We hope to deepen working relationships with schools and further local partnerships within the community.
